40-Year-Old Man Killed in Compton Bicycle Crash on Rosecrans Avenue near Aprilia Avenue
Compton, California (September 17, 2020) – A 40-year-old man was killed in a bicycle accident on Wednesday night in Compton, authorities said.
The crash happened at about 11:15 p.m., on September 16, on Rosecrans Avenue, west of Aprilia Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 40-year-old bicyclist was struck by a 2008 Honda Element in a poorly lit area on Rosecrans Avenue.
The Honda reportedly changed lanes and struck the rear of the bike.
First responders arrived at the scene and found a vehicle, bicycle, and an unresponsive man lying on the roadway, the officials said.

Sadly, the bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
