Woman Seriously Injured in Long Beach Pedestrian Accident at Long Beach Boulevard and 10th Street

Long Beach, California (September 13, 2020) – A female pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a Metro Blue line train Sunday morning in Long Beach, authorities said.
The major injury accident happened at about 10:05 a.m. at Long Beach Boulevard and 10th Street.
The woman reportedly entered the track and stepped onto the path of the northbound train.

The woman sustained major injuries and was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center for treatment. Her name and condition at this time were not disclosed.
The normal train services were delayed for nearly two hours following the crash.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
