Woman Killed, Man Seriously Injured in Fresno Car Crash on Highway 99 and Highway 41

Fresno, California (September 4, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Friday afternoon rollover crash that killed a woman and left a man seriously injured in south Fresno.
The crash happened at about 3:15 p.m. on Highway 99 and Highway 41.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Chevy Envoy, driven by the woman, was traveling southbound on Highway 99, weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed when it crossed onto Highway 41.
The woman reportedly jerked the wheel to the left over the dirt embankment, went down to Highway 99, and flipped over several times before hitting a Toyota Prius.
All the parties in the Chevy were not wearing seatbelts and were ejected from their vehicle, the officials said.

Sadly, the driver of the Chevy was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man, who was a passenger in the Chevy, sustained major injuries and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The driver of the Toyota was not injured.
Traffic on Highway 99 was stopped due to the accident. As of 5:30 p.m., the roadway was reopened.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
