Gardena, California (September 2, 2020) – Angelica Gonzalez, 30, has been identified as the woman who was killed in a multi-vehicle accident last Saturday in Gardena, authorities said.

The deadly accident happened at the intersection of Redondo Beach Boulevard and Vermont Avenue on August 29.

According to the police, a 2018 Dodge Ram 3500, allegedly stolen from an auto shop by Isaiah Lono, 19, crashed the Dodge into several vehicles while speeding away.

Lono then ran a red light at the intersection and crashed the Dodge into a vehicle, driven Gonzalez, the officials said.

Sadly, Gonzalez sustained fatal injuries in the accident.

Lono, also known as Isaiah Portillo, reportedly tried to flee the scene but was apprehended.

Lono was arrested and is facing murder and other felony charges, hit-and-run driving resulting in property damage and one misdemeanour count of driving when the privilege was suspended or revoked. He was jailed instead of $2 million bail.

The crash remains under investigation.
