Azusa, CA: Fiery Fatal Car Accident on Azusa Avenue On-Ramp
1 Killed in Azusa Crash on Azusa Avenue On-Ramp to Foothill (210) Freeway

Azusa, California (August 21, 2020) – One person was killed early Friday morning in a fiery traffic accident in Azusa, according to a local news source.
The California Highway Patrol said the deadly accident happened at around 2:15 a.m. on the Azusa Avenue onramp to the eastbound Foothill (210) Freeway.
A vehicle reportedly veered off the roadway and crashed into a tree. It then went down an embankment and burst into flames.

One person died following the accident. The name of the victim was withheld pending notification of the family.
Authorities closed the southbound Azusa Avenue onramp to the eastbound Foothill Freeway for more than three hours as they investigated. As of 5:25 a.m., the roadway was reopened.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
