24-Year-Old Man Killed in Clovis Motorcycle Accident near Shaw and Academy Avenues
Clovis, California (August 8, 2020) – A motorcyclist was killed Saturday night in a traffic accident in Clovis, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash occurred at about 8:00 p.m. near the intersection of Shaw and Academy Avenues.
The CHP said a 24-year-old Clovis man was riding his motorcycle on Academy Avenue at an unknown rate of speed when he lost control of the bike.
The motorcycle then crashed into concrete fence posts in the west shoulder of the road.

The motorcyclist died at the scene. His name was withheld pending notification of family.
It remains unclear if intoxication played a role in the accident.
