Jose Carreto Killed in Traffic Crash on Highway 36 in Tulare County
Jose Carreto ID’d as Victim Killed in Tulare County Car Accident on Highway 36 near Avenue 376
Tulare County, California (August 8, 2020) – Jose Abelardo Carreto, 18, of Traver, has been identified as the driver who was killed in a traffic collision on Saturday morning in Tulare County, authorities said.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the accident at about noon on Highway 36, just south of Avenue 376.
According to the CHP, a vehicle, driven by Carreto, was driving southbound on Highway 36 when, for unknown reasons, Carreto lost control of the car and struck the utility pole.

Sadly, Carreto was pronounced dead at the scene.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
Further details regarding the collision were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
