Hesperia, CA: Motorcyclist Struck, Critically Injured by Vehicle on 15 Freeway
Rider Hospitalized after Hesperia Motorcycle Accident on 15 Freeway near Oak Hill Road and Ranchero Road
Hesperia, California (August 8, 2020) – A motorcyclist was critically injured after being hit by a vehicle on a freeway in Hesperia Saturday evening, according to a local news source.
The accident happened at around 6:00 p.m. on the 15 Freeway between Oak Hill Road and Ranchero Road.
The California Highway Patrol said the motorcyclist was struck by a vehicle for unknown reasons in the northbound lane of the freeway.
The force of the impact sent the motorcycle into the right-hand shoulder of northbound 15 freeway and rider into the center median.
Major Injury Motorcycle Accident in Hesperia
The motorcyclist sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment.
No other injuries were reported.
The 15 Freeway was briefly closed in both directions following the crash. As of 6:45 p.m., the freeway was reopened.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
