Petaluma, California (August 8, 2020) – A man was killed in a car crash in Petaluma on Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident happened at about 4:09 p.m. August 7, on North McDowell Boulevard near Scott Street.

Petaluma Police Department said a man was driving a gray Nissan sedan northbound on North McDowell Boulevard and was attempting to turn left into a business when he collided with a blue Chevy Silverado pickup.

The unidentified driver of the Nissan was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.

The driver of the Chevy sustained minor injuries in the crash and was transported to Petaluma Valley Hospital.
