Beatrice Bigham Arrested For DUI after Head-On Crash on Highway 101 in San Rafael

San Rafael, California (August 3, 2020) – The suspected drunk driver who caused a traffic accident that injured two people Friday night in San Rafael has been arrested.
The accident occurred at around 10:15 p.m. Friday, July 31, on southbound Highway 101, just north of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.
The California Highway Patrol said Beatrice Bigham, 19, of Mill Valley, was allegedly driving northbound in the southbound lanes of Highway 101 when her vehicle collided head-on with an oncoming SUV.
Beatrice Bigham Arrested Following DUI Crash in San Rafael
Bigham and the driver of the SUV sustained minor injuries and were both treated at the scene.
Authorities determined that Bigham was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. She was eventually arrested and booked into Marin County Jail on suspicion of DUI and driving the wrong way.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
