Sara Youhas ID’d as Woman Killed in Santa Cruz Pedestrian Crash on Bear Creek Road

Santa Cruz, California (July 28, 2020) – Sara Youhas, 73, of Boulder Creek, has been identified as the woman who was killed in a hit and run pedestrian crash earlier this month in Santa Cruz, authorities said.
The crash happened on Tuesday, July 14, on Bear Creek Road.
As per the CHP report, Youhas was reported missing on July 14, and her body was found along Bear Creek Road two days later.
According to the officials, Youhas was struck by a vehicle, causing her to roll down an embankment.
The CHP said Cody McGhee, 31, of Boulder Creek, was arrested in San Jose on Tuesday, July 28, in connection with Youhas’s death.
McGhee was arrested on suspicion of charges related to a fatal hit-and-run, vehicular manslaughter, fleeing the scene of a crime without malice aforethought, inflicting severe injury on a person older than 70 and violating probation.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
