22-Year-Old Davis Man Hospitalized, David Aspegren Jr. Arrested after Lakeville Car Crash at Stage Gulch Road and Lakeville Highway

Lakeville, California (July 28, 2020) – A 22-year-old Davis man was seriously injured, and David Aspegren Jr. was arrested after a head-on car crash on Sunday night in Lakeville, authorities said.
The major injury crash transpired at about 10:23 p.m., on July 26, at the intersection of Stage Gulch Road and Lakeville Highway. Lakeville Highway is also known as state Highway 116.
A Chevrolet Impala, driven by Aspegren, a resident of Ashford, Connecticut, was traveling southbound when it crossed into the pathway of a Ford Focus, driven by the Davis man, the CHP said.
The two vehicles finally collided head-on, according to the officials.

The Davis man sustained life-threatening injuries and was flown to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Aspegren was also injured and was taken to a hospital for treatment. He was later booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs causing significant bodily injury, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia, the CHP said.
The crash remains under investigation.
