Victim Killed in Sutter County Head-On Collision on Highway 99 near Sankey Road ID’d as Arthur Medina
Sutter County, California (July 9, 2020) – 43-year-old Arthur Anacleto Medina, of Sacramento, has been identified as the man who died following a head-on collision that occurred in the area of Sutter County early Sunday morning, the Sutter County Coroner’s Office reported.
At about 1:00 a.m. July 5, authorities responded to the deadly accident on Highway 99 near Sankey Road.
As per the California Highway Patrol report, Medina was driving a 2014 silver Toyota in the northbound lane of the roadway when he collided head-on with a 2007 white BMW operated by 27-year-old Gabriela Michelle Sanchez in the wrong way.

Medina and Sanchez, of Chico, were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Officials said intoxication was a factor in the wreck.
The fatal accident remains under an active investigation.
