1 Killed in Lake Forest Car Accident on Santa Ana (5) Freeway at El Toro Road

Lake Forest, California (June 21, 2020) – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle accident on Saturday afternoon in Lake Forest, police said.
The deadly crash transpired at about 12:44 p.m., on June 20, on the southbound Santa Ana (5) Freeway at El Toro Road.
A witness told the police that four or five vehicles collided in the HOV and number 1 freeway lanes. The factors that contributed to the accident are yet to be established.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The California Highway Patrol said a victim wanted to jump in front of traffic before the accident. It was not clear if the party was the one killed in the mishap.
Number 2 HOV lane and traffic lanes 1, 2, 3, and 4 were closed following the accident. As of 3:00 p.m., they were all reopened.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
