Signal Hill, California (June 16, 2020) – A bicyclist was critically injured after being hit by a vehicle Monday night in Signal Hill, according to authorities.
At about 11:55 p.m. Monday, June 15, officers responded to the intersection of Cherry Avenue and Skyline Drive for a report of a bicycle accident.
Authorities said an unidentified man was riding his bicycle westbound on Skyline Drive through the intersection at Cherry Avenue when, for unknown reasons, he was struck by a sport utility vehicle that was heading southbound on Cherry Avenue.
Bicyclist Seriously Injured in Traffic Crash at Cherry Avenue and Skyline Drive in Signal Hill
The officers arrived at the location and found the male rider lying down on the roadway. The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
