Berkeley, CA: 1 Hospitalized after Traffic Accident on 80 Freeway Friday Morning
1 Severely Injured in Berkeley Car Accident on 80 Freeway near Gilman Street Off-Ramp
Berkeley, California (May 29, 2020) – One person was hospitalized with serious injuries after two vehicles collided early Friday afternoon in Berkeley, the California Highway Patrol said.
The crash transpired at about 3:28 a.m. on westbound 80 Freeway, just east of Gilman Street off-ramp.
Authorities said the crash involved a Safeways truck and an SUV.
One person sustained major injuries in the collision. Paramedics with the Berkeley Fire Department transported the victim to Highland Hospital – Oakland for treatment of lacerations to the face and shoulders.
The crash is under an active investigation.
