Compton, California (April 26, 2020) – One motorist was killed in a multi-vehicle collision that occurred on Saturday evening in Compton, according to the authorities.

The crash took place at about 8:35 p.m. April 25, on Long Beach (710) Freeway near Alondra Boulevard.

According to the CHP, multiple vehicles collided on the southbound side of the freeway.

One of the drivers was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

There was no report on injuries. 

All southbound lanes were closed as officials worked to clear the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
