Santa Barbara, CA: Deadly Crash on Highway 154 Thursday
1 Killed, 3 Injured in Highway 154 Car Collision in Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara, California (April 10, 2020) – One person died, and three others were hospitalized in a two-car accident that occurred Thursday evening on Highway 154, a local news source reported.
The accident took place at about 6:00 p.m. just about a mile downhill from Painted Cave Road.
The California Highway Patrol said the crash involved a Mazda sedan and an SUV. One of the cars hit the other on the passenger side.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and extricated one of the victims from the wreckage.
A male passenger who was seated at the right-front of the Mazda suffered major injuries. Another victim sustained moderate injuries while two others suffered minor injuries. All victims were taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital by AMR ambulance, where the male passenger was pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, the driver of the SUV, identified as Brian Watana Dul, 22, of Goleta, was arrested for DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
The crash is under an active investigation.
