Boy Killed in Los Angeles Multi-Vehicle Crash on 110 Freeway ID’d as Jonathan Navarro
Los Angeles, California (April 7, 2020) – 16-year-old Jonathan Navarro, of North Hollywood,has been identified as the boy who died following a multi-vehicle collision that happened in the area of Los Angeles Sunday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash took place on southbound 110 Freeway south of Wilshire Boulevard at about 9:00 p.m. on April 5.
The accident happened when a 2012 Ford Edge driven by 18-year-old man in the No. 5 lane of southbound 110 Freeway lost control and crashed into the concrete wall. The Ford Edge then collided with a 2006 Hyundai Azera that was also in the No. 5 lane.
The initial report indicated that the impact set off a chain reaction crash involving a 2000 Nissan Quest in the No. 4 lane and a 2009 Nissan Versa operated by a 59-year-old man in the No. 5 lane.

Navarro, who was riding in the Edge as a passenger, died in the accident.
The Edge driver, his 18-year-old female passenger, and the male party operating the Versa sustained minor injuries following the mishap.
The identities of the wounded victims have not yet been released to this time.
Meanwhile, the investigators are gathering more evidence to determine the cause of the accident.
