Three Killed in Hancock Park Collision on North Highland Avenue near Melrose Avenue

Hancock Park, California (March 31, 2020) – A third person has died following a suspected street racing crash early Monday morning in Hancock Park near Hollywood, according to the authorities.

The deadly crash happened at around 2:00 a.m. March 30, in the 600 block of North Highland Avenue near Melrose Avenue.

As per the report, two BMW sedans were traveling at high speeds when they lost control and crashed. The impact damaged a fire hydrant and uprooted a palm tree.

Both drivers, identified as men aged about 30 years, were declared dead at the crash site. 

One passenger pinned inside a burning car was rescued by responding firefighters. The patient was rushed to an area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The identities of the involved parties were not immediately released.

A female passenger was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
