Luis Garibay-Avina Among Two Men killed in Modesto Big Rig Collision on Highway 132 at Hart Road
Modesto, California (March 24, 2020) – Luis Garibay-Avina, 28, of Crows Landing was among two men killed in a big rig collision on Saturday morning near Modesto, according to the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office.
The wreck happened on Highway 132 at Hart Road at about 6:50 a.m. March 21.
According to the CHP, Harinder Chhina, 39, of Tracy was driving a big rig westbound on Highway 132 when it collided with a Volvo heading south on Hart Road.
Luis Garibay-Avina Among 2 Killed in Modesto Crash
Garibay-Avina was the driver of the Volvo. He and his passenger, Damian Avina, 22, of Crows Landing, were both killed in the collision.
Cchina was not hurt in the crash.
CHP said drugs and alcohol do not appear to have played a role in the accident.
The crash is under investigation.
