Jose Rincon ID’d as 61-Year-Old Man Killed in San Bernardino Crash on Baseline Street near Valencia Avenue
San Bernardino, California (March 22, 2020) – The bike rider who was killed when he collided with a police vehicle on Thursday afternoon in San Bernardino has been identified as Jose Maria Rincon, 61, of San Bernardino, according to the authorities.
The crash took place at about 4:55 p.m. March 19, on Baseline Street near Valencia Avenue.
According to the report, Rincon was riding a bike west on Baseline Street when he tried to turn and cross the westbound lanes and was hit by a patrol vehicle.

Rincon was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The officer involved was responding to a call at the time and was uninjured in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
