Joseph Hennessey Killed in Fremont Pedestrian Collision on Mission Boulevard at Warm Springs Boulevard

Fremont, California (March 21, 2020) – The man who was fatally struck by a Honda driver on Thursday morning in Fremont has been identified as 73-year-old Joseph Hennessey, according to the authorities.

The deadly crash was reported a while before 6:00 a.m. Thursday, March 18, on northbound Mission Boulevard at Warm Springs Boulevard.

Officials said that it was unclear if Hennessey was walking outside or inside a crosswalk at the time of the crash.

Responding firefighters declared Hennessey dead at the crash site.

Officials confirmed that the Honda motorist remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

The incident remains under investigation.
