Murrieta Man Killed in Fallbrook Car Crash on East Mission Road near Fallen Leaf Lane
Fallbrook, California (March 19, 2020) – One person was killed in a two-car accident that took place in Fallbrook on Wednesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred at around 1 p.m. March 18, on East Mission Road near Fallen Leaf Lane.
According to the report, a delivery van heading east on East Mission Road swerved into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a westbound Isuzu NRR two-axle commercial truck.
Man Killed in Fallbrook 2-Vehicle Accident
Firefighters responded to the incident and extricated the van’s driver from the vehicle.
The van driver, only identified as a 62-year-old Murrieta man, succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital.
The other driver, a 62-year-old Lake Forest man, was not injured in the crash.
The CHP is working to determine the cause of the crash.
