Victim Struck and Killed by Vehicle near Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson ID’d as Lourdes Giron
Carson, California (March 18, 2020) – Authorities have released the name of an 86-year-old Carson woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle Monday night, March 16 in Carson.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies, the fatal pedestrian crash happened at Avalon Boulevard and 184th Street near Dignity Health Sports Park.
As per the report, Lourdes Giron was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Avalon Boulevard outside of a crosswalk at about 7:30 p.m.
The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the law.

Sadly, Giron was pronounced dead at the scene.
Neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected factors in the accident. An investigation into the crash is underway.
