Rider Seriously Injured in Oceanside Bicycle Crash on State Route 76 at Old Grove Road
Oceanside, California (February 27, 2020) – A man was taken to a hospital with major injuries following a bicycle collision on Wednesday afternoon in Oceanside, according to the Oceanside police.
The crash, which occurred at about 4:18 p.m. February 26, happened in the area of State Route 76 at Old Grove Road.
According to police, the bicycle was crossing the street on a red light when he was hit by a vehicle.
Rider Seriously Injured in Oceanside Bicycle Crash
The emergency crews found the rider down in the street and transported him to a hospital with a serious head injury.
The driver of the vehicle that collided with the cyclist stayed at the scene. Police said alcohol and drugs did not play a role in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
