Jose Aguilar Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Highway 101 near Third Avenue in San Mateo
San Mateo, California (February 24, 2020) – The Good Samaritan, who was struck and killed by a vehicle on Friday morning in San Mateo, has been identified as 31-year-old Jose Rafael Garcia Aguilar of South San Francisco, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash occurred at about 2:00 a.m. February 21, on Highway101 near Third Avenue.
As per the CHP report, the accident began when Aguilar pulled over his BMW at the site of a three-vehicle accident to check on the conditions of the drivers. Aguilar, who was traveling southbound on Highway 101, was then struck by a passing car as he exited his BMW.

Garcia Aguilar died in the accident.
One of the involved motorists was confirmed to have been injured following the mishap.
Meanwhile, the driver who struck Aguilar did not stop after the wreck. The suspect was yet to be located
