Indio, California (February 19, 2020) – Authorities are investigating the cause of an alleged DUI traffic accident that took place in the area of Indio on Tuesday afternoon.
The minor injury crash was reported on February 18, at the intersection of Avenue 50 and Jackson Street.
As per the report, the accident began when 40-year-old Froilan David Ramirez was suspected of having been driving while intoxicated by officials. The authorities then tried to stop Ramirez, but he failed to yield, and the chase began.
Ramirez ended up striking another vehicle at the intersection, injuring its driver.
Froilan Ramirez Arrested after DUI Crash on Avenue 50 in Indio
The motorist reportedly suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Police arrested Ramirez and booked him into Indio jail for felony DUI resulting in injury, felony evading, and committing a felony while on bail.
