Psyoth Sao Killed in Modesto Pedestrian Crash on Coffee Road and Ensenada Drive
Modesto, California February 17, 2020) – A man was fatally hit by a vehicle in Modesto on Saturday night, according to Modesto police.
Psyoth Sao, 36, died in the crash that occurred just before 9:30 p.m. February 15, in the area of Coffee Road and Ensenada Drive.
Modesto police said Sao was in the roadway when he was struck by a 2015 Nissan Sentra traveling southbound on Coffee Road.
Psyoth Sao Killed in Modesto Pedestrian Collision
Emergency crews responded to the incident and found Sao lying on the roadway. The crews performed life-saving measures but he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The driver of the Nissan, Larry Lindsey of Riverbank, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
Police said Lindsey was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of a narcotic. It’s unclear whether DUI played a role in the accident.
Police are conducting an investigation into the crash.
