Los Angeles, CA: CHP Investigating Motorcycle Crash on 405 Freeway
At Least 1 Injured in 405 Freeway Motorcycle Crash near Getty Center Drive in Los Angeles
Los Angeles, California (February 5, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a major injury motorcycle collision that happened Wednesday morning on a freeway in West Los Angeles, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident occurred at about 7:34 a.m. on southbound 405 Freeway, just south of Getty Center Drive.
CHP officials said a white Ford collided with a motorcycle for unknown reasons.
The rider was lying down in the HOV lane after the accident.
At least one person sustained major injuries in the crash. Paramedics responded to the scene to help the victim.
The No. 1 and HOV lanes were closed for about an hour following the collision.
