1 Killed in Highway 99 Pedestrian Crash near 47th Avenue in Sacramento

Sacramento, California (January 31, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol said a pedestrian died after being struck by a big rig Thursday night in Sacramento.
As per the report, the accident took place at about 7:15 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Highway 99 at 47th Avenue.
The pedestrian, whose identity remained unknown, died in the accident.
CHP shut down No. 3 and 4 lanes as investigators worked the scene.
CHP advised motorists to avoid the area of northbound Highway 99 at the 47th Avenue off-ramp due to stalled traffic.
