Rider Killed in Yucca Valley Motorcycle Crash at Twentynine Palms Highway and Prescott Avenue ID’d as Nicole Dobbins
Yucca Valley, California (January 26, 2020) – The San Bernardino County Coroner’s office has released the name of the motorcyclist who died following a traffic collision that took place in the area of Yucca Valley at about 11:16 p.m. on Wednesday.
The motorcycle collision happened at the intersection of Twentynine Palms Highway and Prescott Avenue on January 15.
The accident involved a truck driven by 52-year-old Rocio Diaz eastbound on Twentynine Palms Highway and a westbound Kawasaki motorcycle ridden by Nicole Dobbins, 33, of Yucca Valley.
Diaz was attempting to turn left onto Prescott Avenue when he crashed with the Kawasaki.
Officials said Dobbins suffered major injuries in the crash. She died at Hi-Desert Medical Center at approximately 12:26 a.m. Thursday, January 16.
Diaz stopped after the accident and cooperated with the law.
Neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected factors in the accident. An investigation into the crash is underway.
