Thomas Kerns ID’d as Man Killed in Lincoln Semi-Truck Accident on Highway 65 near Nelson Lane
Lincoln, California (January 11, 2020) – The driver who died after colliding with a semi-truck at an intersection in Lincoln last Friday afternoon has been identified as Thomas Kerns, 34, of Grass Valley, according to the Placer County Coroner’s Office.
The fatal crash happened at about 1:16 p.m. January 3, on Highway 65 near Nelson Lane
The CHP said Kerns was driving a silver Nissan Altima south on Highway 65 when he failed to stop for a red light and slammed into the back of the semi-tractor trailer truck that was hauling dirt.
Thomas Kerns Killed in Lincoln Traffic Accident
Kerns was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
