Turlock, CA: Fatal Pedestrian Accident on East Avenue
78-Year-Old Woman Killed in Turlock Crash on East Avenue
Turlock, California (January 10, 2020) – An elderly woman was on Wednesday evening killed in an auto-pedestrian collision in Turlock, according to the authorities.
The incident happened at about 6 p.m. January 9, in the 1200 block of East Avenue.
Police said a 78-year-old woman was hit by a vehicle on East Avenue.
Woman Killed in Turlock Pedestrian Crash
People passing by stopped and rendered aid to the injured woman until police arrived. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her identity was not immediately released.
The driver who hit the victim stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
Investigators do not believe alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident.
The crash is under investigation.
