Bicyclist Killed, Deshawn Mayo Arrested after Fresno Crash near Fresno and Bullard Avenues
Fresno, California (January 8, 2020) – A bicyclist was killed in a crash involving a suspected DUI driver early Wednesday morning in Fresno.
According to Fresno police, the incident happened after midnight near Fresno and Bullard avenues.
Police said a man in his 30s was riding a bike when he was hit by a car driven by Deshawn Mayo, 47.
Man Dies in Fresno DUI Bicycle Crash
The victim was rushed to CRMC, where he was pronounced deceased.
Mayo reportedly fled the scene after the crash but police later located and arrested him. He is facing charges including DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
The incident is under investigation.
