Daniel Peters Killed in Oxnard Pedestrian Crash on Ventura Road near Fifth Street
Oxnard, California (January 8, 2020) – A man was struck and killed by a vehicle on Monday night in Oxnard, according to the Oxnard Police Department.
The crash was reported at around 11:15 p.m. January 6, on Ventura Road near Fifth Street.
Police said Daniel Peters, 44, of Oxnard, was trying to cross the road when he was hit by a silver Ford F-150 traveling southbound on Ventura Road.

Peters was transported to Ventura County Medical Center in Ventura, where he was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the Ford, a 52-year-old Oxnard resident, stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
Police said alcohol and speed were not suspected to be factors in the crash.
The incident is under investigation.
