One Killed in Shasta Lake Train Collision near Shasta Dam Boulevard and La Mesa Avenue
Shasta Lake, California (December 23, 2019) – One person was killed in a motorcycle accident involving a train on Saturday afternoon in Shasta Lake, according to the Shasta Lake County Sheriff’s Department.
The crash occurred at 4:30 p.m. on December 21, near Shasta Dam Boulevard and La Mesa Avenue.
Authorities said a man riding a motorcycle collided with an Amtrak train in the area.

Emergency crews performed CPR on the victim but he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
No one on the train was injured in the crash.
The crash is under investigation.
