Shandon, California (December 23, 2019) – Authorities are investigating a major injury collision that happened on Sunday morning in the area of Shandon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles collided for reasons yet to be determined.
The accident happened at about 6:15 a.m. December 22, on Highway 46, just east of Center Street.
Police said two cars collided for reasons yet to be determined.
An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the injured parties. The number of patients and their current condition was not immediately provided.
Officials closed westbound lanes of Highway 46 briefly following the crash.
An investigation is underway.
