Fatal Gilroy Collision on Highway 152 at Lovers Lane
Gilroy, California (December 23, 2019) – One person was killed in a traffic collision that occurred on Sunday evening near Gilroy in Santa Clara County.
According to the CHP, the incident happened at about 5:11 p.m. December 22, on Highway 152 at Lovers Lane.
According to the report, a Jaguar was traveling westbound on the highway when it spun out of control and collided with a white GMC van head-on. The Jaguar was then hit by a big rig and it burst into flames.

The driver of the Jaguar was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the van was rescued from the burning vehicle and transported to an area hospital with significant injuries.
The identities of the involved parties were not immediately released.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
