Oroville, CA: 2 Trapped in Car Crash on Highway 70 Sunday Afternoon
1 Sustains Major Injuries in Oroville Car Collision on Highway 70 near Pentz Road
Oroville, California (December 23, 2019) – Two people were trapped in a car crash that happened Sunday afternoon on a highway in Oroville, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at about 1:09 p.m. on Highway 70, just west of Pentz Road.
A white Jeep Renegade collided head-on with a black Kia Soul for unknown reasons.
Two people were trapped in their vehicles. Firefighters responded to the scene to rescue the victims.
At least one person sustained major injuries in the crash. The victim was transported to the hospital by responding paramedics.
The roadway was closed near the crash scene to allow investigators work the scene.
CHP is investigating the collision.
