At Least 1 Injured in San Diego Crash on Highway 163 and 5 Freeway
San Diego, California (December 20, 2019) – At least one person was injured after a traffic crash on Thursday afternoon in the area of San Diego, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The crash happened at around 1:14 p.m. Thursday, December 19, on Highway 163, north of 5 Freeway.
As per the CHP officials, three vehicles crashed for reasons still under investigation.

An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to at least one person who complained of pain as a result of the crash. The patient was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center in Hillcrest for treatment.
The name of the patient and their current condition were not immediately released.
A SigAlert was issued closing lane 1 for about two hours. The roadway was opened as of 3:03 p.m.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
