Pedestrian Killed in Santa Barbara Traffic Crash on East Cabrillo Boulevard

Santa Barbara, California (December 19, 2019) – Authorities are investigating the cause of a pedestrian collision that resulted in the death of a 60-year-old-man on Monday afternoon in Santa Barbara.
The fatal collision, which happened at around 5:15 p.m. on December 16, occurred in the 600 block of East Cabrillo Boulevard.
According to a local news source, a pedestrian was struck by a full-size van on the highway for unknown reasons.

The pedestrian was attended to by paramedics and then transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The name of the deceased has not yet been released to this time.
The operator of the involved vehicle stopped after the wreck and cooperated with the officials’ investigation.
The investigation is underway.
