South Los Angeles, California (December 19, 2019) – Authorities released camera footage showing a hit-and-run driver that struck a pedestrian Friday at an intersection in South Los Angeles.
39-year-old Joel Cruz has been identified as the victim of the crash.
In the video, Cruz is seen walking near the intersection when an oncoming car accelerates towards him.
The victim sustained unspecified injuries.
Police are looking for the suspect driver and car. The vehicle was described as a black or blue four-door Kia sedan.
Those with information about the crash are asked to come forward.
