Escondido, CA: Suspected DUI Crash on Interstate 15 near Via Rancho Parkway
Injuries Reported in Escondido Van Crash on Interstate 15 near Via Rancho Parkway
Escondido, California (December 16, 2019) – Injuries were reported in an alleged DUI collision late Saturday night in Escondido, according to the CHP.
The crash happened shortly before midnight December 14, on Interstate 15 near the Via Rancho Parkway off-ramp.
CHP said a car heading north on I-15 rear-ended a van. The impact pushed the van onto the side of the road, where it burst into flames.
Father and Children Injured in Escondido Van Crash
A father and his three children who were inside the van were able to get out and sustained minor injuries.
Authorities arrested the driver of the car on suspicion of DUI.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
