Tamera Flynn Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 99W in Tehama County

Tehama County, California (December 11, 2019) – The person who was killed early Tuesday morning in a traffic accident involving three vehicles west of Los Molinos in Tehama County has been identified by authorities as Tamera Elaine Flynn, 37, of Red Bluff.

The deadly crash happened at around 5:40 a.m. Tuesday, December 10 on State Hwy 99W (CR-99W) near Rodeo Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Fernando Leon, 21, of Corning, was driving a 2003 Honda northbound on CR-99W when he attempted to pass another vehicle and drove into the southbound lane, where the Honda collided head-on with a southbound 2002 Ford driven by Jarrod Loyd Flynn, 36, of Red Bluff.

The Ford then collided with a 1998 Chevy that was also being driven southbound on CR-99W by Bradley Howard Myers, 46, of Red Bluff.

Tamera Flynn, who was the front passenger in the 2002 Ford, suffered major injuries and was airlifted to a hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. Jarrod sustained a broken ankle and possible internal injuries. Authorities said the two were not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.

Leon sustained a major head injury while Myers suffered minor injuries.

Alcohol or drugs were not considered factors in the crash.

The CHP is investigating the accident.
