Stockton, California (November 30, 2019) – Two people were hospitalized after being bitten by three pit bulls Wednesday afternoon in Stockton, authorities said.

The incident was reported just before 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 27  on  Almondwood Lane near Lorraine Avenue.

According to the authorities, the pit bulls  somehow got loose and escaped a home. The dogs bit  a group of people on  Almondwood Lane.

One of the dogs was shot by a woman and killed. Animal Control officers  captured the other two dogs.

Two people were taken to  St. Joseph’s Medical Center with unspecified injuries. Their names and conditions were not immediately disclosed.

No details about the  dogs’ owner were immediately reported.

The incident remains under investigation.
