Monterey Park, California (November 27, 2019) – A woman has been arrested after a hit-and-run collision that left a scooter rider dead last Monday night in Monterey Park.
According to the authorities, the crash happened at around 9:20 p.m. November 18, on Atlantic Boulevard at Newmark Avenue.
According to the report, Joshua Madrid, 14, was riding a scooter across the intersection on a red light when he was hit by a white minivan traveling southbound on Atlantic Boulevard. The driver of the minivan fled the scene after the incident.

Madrid was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Detectives on Friday located a white minivan suspected to be involved in the crash and arrested Cristina Navarro of Montebello.
The incident is under investigation.
