1 Killed, Another Airlifted after Oakdale Car Collision on Highway 108 at Lancaster Road

Oakdale, California (November 17, 2019) – One person died, and two others were injured in a head-on collision that happened Sunday morning in Oakdale, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash involved a small pickup truck and an SUV and happened at about 8:47 a.m. on eastbound Highway 108, just east of Lancaster Road.
Authorities said the vehicles collided head-on for unknown reasons.
An off-duty officer who was at the crash scene before firefighters arrived said one person was possibly trapped in one of the cars.
Firefighters arrived and confirmed that one person died in the crash. Another person was airlifted to a hospital with head trauma. A third patient sustained unspecified injuries.
Both vehicles were towed away from the collision scene.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
