Anza, CA: Major Injury Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 371
4 Injured, 3 Seriously in Anza Car Accident on Highway 371 near Cary Road
Anza, California (November 8, 2019) – Four people were injured Friday afternoon in a traffic accident involving three vehicles on Highway 371 in Anza, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck took place at around 2:00 p.m. on the eastbound side of the highway near Cary Road.
CHP said a Toyota Tacoma pickup collided with a full-size van on the eastbound side of the highway for an unknown reason. The Tacoma rolled over after the impact. A sedan was also involved in the collision.
Major Car Accident on Highway 371 in Anza
Emergency crews responded to the scene and extricated one occupant of the van from the wreckage. The victim was then airlifted to a trauma center with life-threatening injuries.
Two other people were airlifted to the hospital with major injuries, including a man with broken legs. The fourth patient sustained unknown injuries and was transported by ground ambulance to a hospital.
The highway was closed following the crash.
An investigation into the wreck is ongoing.
