1 Killed in Fiery Crash on 215 Freeway in Colton
Driver Dies in Colton Car Accident on 215 Freeway near La Cadena Drive
Colton, California (October 26, 2019) – A motorist was killed early Saturday in a traffic accident in Colton, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash took place at around 5:15 a.m. on the 215 Freeway near La Cadena Drive.
The CHP said a car collided with a tractor-trailer on the southbound lanes. The car caught fire after the impact.
According to a witness, the car did not slow down before becoming wedged underneath the trailer.
Firefighters responded to the scene and extinguished the flames.
The male driver of the car died in the crash. His name has not been released pending notification of family.
Further details were not immediately provided, and the crash remains under investigation.
